About Me
Lorenzo S. Anguiano is a musician, performer, and educator. He helps other performers discover their own musical identities and passions, so that they can share their ideas and beliefs with their audience through performance.
Biography
Currently, he is working towards his Bachelors of Cello Performance degree under the mentorship of John Michel. Prior formal training also includes studying with Karen Schulz-Harmon
2023-24 season highlights include Principal Cellist for the Central Washington University Opera’s production of Die Fledermaus, Dvorak Symphony No.8 and Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite, runner up in the Washington MTNA Competition, Honorable Mention for the CWU Concerto Competition, and a duo recital with pianist Meredith Montgomery. Lorenzo is also a recipient of the National Orchestra Award in 2022

Lorenzo has a specialized interest in musician wellness, athletic training, and injury prevention and recovery. He hopes that in addition to his goals of becoming a Cello Professor, Soloist, and Recitalist, that he can apply athletic training techniques and therapies to his own playing and teach these ideas in professional settings.
Lorenzo was raised in Vancouver, Washington. In his free time, he enjoys competitive distance running, and spending time with his family & friends.
